Estella “Stella” Townes passed away on December 13, 2024 surrounded by her 2 sons and husband. She was 79 years old. She was born in Karnes County, Texas where she grew up on a farm with her mother (Concha), father (Gregorio), and 12 siblings (Olga, Nina, Betty, Andrea, Georgine, Dorothy, Jerry, Sam, Adolph, Arnell, George, and Ray).
Stella was the proud mother of 2 sons. While raising her family and watching her sons play sports, she was a teacher for over 30 years in the Manor School district. She loved family time and traveling to South Padre beach every summer. Stella loved gardening, margaritas, dancing and listening to George Strait, baking, and laughing with her family while sitting outside barbecuing and enjoying their land in Manor.
Stella is survived by her husband Bob, her 2 sons Bobby Townes (Tanya) and Joseph Townes (Jennifer), and two grandchildren, Tyler and Jayla.
The family invites you to join them to celebrate the life of Stella Townes. The service will be this Wednesday, December 18, from 1pm-3pm at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home located at 14501 North IH 35, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
