She married Lupe Mendez on July 10, 1965 in Austin Texas. She enjoyed being a loving housewife and lived life to the fullest.
Stella was preceded in death by her parents, Antonio and Francis Rodriguez, along with seven brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Lupe Mendez; three daughters, Dolores Amador (Peter), Sara Mendez, and Rachel Tovar (Jorge), and her one and only son Adam Mendez; 12 grandchildren, Pauline Hernandez (Justin), Kimberly Fabian, Gilbert Fabian (Paula) Mark Anthony Fabian, Tiffany Fabian, Stephany Fabian, Jacob Espinosa, Timothy Tovar (Morgan), Bethanee Tovar, Chloé Mendez , Joshua Saldaña and Caleb Saldaña along with 17 great grandchildren Paul Pena III, Makayla Pena, Elijah Fabian, Olivia McCollum, Andrea Fabian, Camila Fabian, Finley Fabian, Jermiah Fabian, Jasiah Fabian, Izabella Rocha, Izaiah Rocha, Izaac Rocha, Sarianna Martinez, Kalysa Martinez, Haeleigh Martinez, JaLynn Espinosa and Harlee Farnsworth; two sisters and one brother along with other family members and many friends.
Her funeral services will be held Saturday, May 1, 2021 at Cook-Walden Funeral Home, 6100 North Lamar Blvd., Austin, Texas. 78752. Visitation starting at 9:30 a.m. and Scripture Reading at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Cook-Walden/Capital Park Cemetery 14501 North Interstate 35 Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
Pallbearers will be Gilbert Fabian , MarkAnthony Fabian, Jacob Espinosa, Timothy Tovar, Paul Pena, and Elijah Fabian
