Scarlett Ann O’Dell Reimer, 74, of Horseshoe Bay, Texas went home to be with her Savior on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 7:37 a.m. She was born March 12, 1945, the daughter of Milton B. O’Dell, Sr. and Bertie Vestie Smith in Orange, Texas. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend.
Scarlett grew up in Austin, Texas and graduated from Austin High School in 1963. During the 1960s Scarlett worked at the Northwest Pool in Austin where she met her future husband. After high school graduation, she attended the University of Texas. On May 28, 1964, she married Wayne Reimer in Austin.
Scarlett was a gentle person her entire life with a large and loving heart. First and foremost, she loved her family, and especially her grandchildren: Robert, Katie, and Megan.
Scarlett also enjoyed the beauty of nature, especially watching birds in her backyard. Scarlett always loved a great sunset, beautiful outdoor scenery, and being by the waterside. Her favorite activities were Mahjong, Bridge, and dancing.
Scarlett was preceded in death by her parents and two children, Todd and Robin Reimer. She is survived by her husband of fifty-five years, Wayne Reimer; her daughter Renee Perschau and husband, Erik Perschau of Fort Collins, Colorado; sister Barbara Struss and brother-in-law Sidney of Georgetown, Texas; and brother Milton O’Dell and sister-in-law Lynda of Sydney, Australia. She is also survived by three loving grandchildren: Robert, Katie and Megan, and many aunts, uncles, nieces and cousins.
The funeral services will begin at the Church of Horseshoe Bay at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2019, located at 600 Hi Ridge Road, Horseshoe Bay, Texas. The graveside services will be held at the Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35 in Pflugerville, Texas at 4:30 p.m.
