Richard Scott Shephard, a beloved father, son, friend, and neighbor passed away peacefully in Austin, Texas on September 23, 2024, at the age of 67. Born on September 15, 1957, Richard was a kind and generous soul who always put others before himself. He had a gentle heart, loved his pets as if they were his children, and was always willing to lend a helping hand, even if it meant sacrificing his own needs.
Richard was a devoted family man and cherished his children and grandchildren dearly. Richard is preceded in death by his mother, Anita, and his younger brother, Jeffrey. He is survived by his father, Richard Orville Shephard, his children, Jonathon Shephard and wife Cyndel, and Lindsey Shephard-Tanner and husband Bryan, as well as his grandchildren, Castiel, Jensen, Daniella, and Baylee-Sue.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
Richard will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was a truly special person who made the world a better place.
