Lucy S. Vasquez

Lucy Vasquez of Hutto, Texas went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at the age of 76.

Lucy was born in Austin, Texas on August 31, 1948, to Isabel and Lucio Suarez. She was the 3rd of fourteen Children.

She met her husband, Jose Vasquez, in the year of 1966 where they quickly fell in love and married in 1967. From this union she had two beautiful children, Arthur Vasquez and Connie Ledesma. Lucy was a terrific wife and was married for 57 years.

She was also an exceptional sister, daughter, mother, grandmother, as well as a wonder great-grandmother. She was a great cook and loved to bake. There was always something fresh and delicious to eat in her house. She loved nothing more than spending time with her family and taught her children to be kind, thankful, generous, and hardworking.

Lucy is preceded in death by her parents, Isabel and Lucio Suarez; her brother, Pete Suarez; and daughter, Connie Ledesma.

She is survived by her son, Arthur Vasquez; her grandchildren, Alyssa Castillo, Joe Ledesma, and Brittney Ledesma; as well as her siblings, Carol Salomon, Juan Suarez, Maria Suarez, Susan Silva, Angie Suarez, Alex Suarez, Lucio Suarez Jr., Victor Suarez, Frances Villegas, Lidia Frias, Alvin Suarez, and Adam Suarez.

A visitation for Lucy will be held Wednesday, October 2, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.

A funeral service will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 11:00 AM, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.

A committal service will occur Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.

Lucy will be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660; Section: T, Tier: 118-D, Crypt: 4.
