Lillian Pemberton, age 91, of Pflugerville passed away May 5, 2012 at the Pflugerville Care Center after a lengthy illness. Born to Fred and Pauline (Vorwerk) Rust on a farm near Coupland, Texas, she lived her entire life in Travis County. Her husband, Albert Pemberton, preceded her in death in 1992. She attended Manor High School and was a member of the United Christian Church of Austin.
She was a loving mother of two children, both of whom survive her: son, Gary and wife Kathy Pemberton of New Braunfels and daughter, Sherian Atwood of Hutto. Other devoted family members include 3 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren, all of Williamson County. She is also survived by a sister, Evelyn Schmidt, of Lockhart and a brother, Wilburn Rust, of Austin. A brother, Vernon Rust, and a sister, Ruby Helton, preceded her in death.
The family will receive guests at a visitation held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 8, 2012 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home. A funeral service celebrating Lillian’s life will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home with graveside services following at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Cemetery.
