Leona was preceded in death by her parents, Fred Fredrickson and Alma (Hedenstrom) Fredrickson; her husband of forty-four years, Milton Sharp Troxell of Granger, Texas; and her Beloved son, Bradley Wayne Troxell.
Survivors include her son, Clayton Wade Troxell and longtime companion, Marsha Gardner of Austin, TX; cherished grandson, Kyle Ryan Troxell and wife, Jessica of San Antonio, TX; beloved sister and best friend, Betsy Kring of Torrance, CA; nieces, Cathy Hamilton of Torrance, CA, Shannon Miller of Austin, TX, Terri Kilgore of Houston, TX, Marilyn Ivey of Houston, TX and Pat Patton of Houston, TX; nephews, Bryan Kring of Alameda, CA, Michael Sklar of Dunwoody, GA, Rodger Ivey of Houston, TX and David Troxell of Austin, TX; along with other dearly loved family members and friends, all who enriched her life.
She was a 1948 graduate of Austin High School and a graduate of Nixon-Clay Business College. She had a close kinship with Nature and her interests included writing and photography.
She was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church of Austin and a current member of Manchaca United Methodist Church.
It was her request that funeral arrangements include only the Graveside service, which will be held on Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville with Pastor David McNitzy officiating. The family will also accept guests on Tuesday, October 26, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville.
