Kristina began her journey on April 3, 1977 in Austin. She was the oldest of three children born to Eddie and Cheryl Aurispa. She attended Great Hills Christian School and graduated in 1995. She then attended Concordia University for 2 years. Kristina met Matthew Hedges in 1998 at a youth concert. They were married one year later and their ministry together began. Throughout her life, Kristina was a precious daughter, loving sister, and a dedicated pastor’s wife. Her life was a huge inspiration and testimony to all. She loved her family, her friends, and her four legged baby, Miles. Despite having a difficult journey, Kristina never gave up, never complained, and always focused on others. She was passionate about living a life that pointed straight to her Savior and illustrated the greatest characteristics of faith, hope, and love to everyone that knew her. As Galatians 6:9 says, Kristina though weary physically, never grew tired of doing good.
Kristina was preceded in death by her grandfather Rev. Rafael Aurispa and grandmother Lucille Salinas. She is survived by her loving husband, Matthew Hedges; her parents, Eddie and Cheryl Aurispa of Austin; her brother, Carlos and his wife Cami and their 2 daughters Arianna and Aliyah Aurispa of Saginaw, TX, and her brother Benjamin Aurispa of College Station, TX; her grandmother Paulina Aurispa of Laredo, TX; her aunt Gracie and uncle Don Grant of Morehead, KY; her cousins, Pauline and Chris Chapman and children Grant and Avery of Woodbridge, VA, and Matthew Grant of Richmond, VA; and uncle Anthony and aunt Helen Salinas of Las Vegas and cousin A.C. Salinas of Las Vegas.
