Kristi was a proud nurse for 20 years and loved what she did. She has helped hundreds of people throughout her career and in her time as a nurse. However, she would tell anyone who asked that her biggest accomplishments and what made her most proud was her children and grandchildren. The love she possessed for her granddaughter was beyond measure and she always stated Amberlynn was her reason for life. Kristi was over the moon, looking forward to the birth of her second granddaughter.
She was the kind of person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life. Someone who loved to be around family and, as much as she denied it, she loved to work. Her favorite holiday was Christmas. They say that’s the time to be with family and friends and she took that to heart. While her daughters where growing up, one of her most loved traditions was forcing them to sing Christmas carols with their cousins in a make shift choir. As much as the girls hated this, it is now a favorite memory. Kristi will be most fondly remembered by her tenacity and strength of character. She was a fighter and every one of her family and friends has a story to share to prove where she showed it. She was a true Momma Bear and never backed down.
She is survived by her three daughters: Kelsey, Cassidy, and Caitlyn Thomas; two granddaughters: Amberlynn and Makenna; her parents John and Gail Trobaugh, and sister Jennifer Rhodes as well as two nieces and a nephew.
Kristi was preceded in death by her Grandfather Lloyd Tiner and her grandmother Jimmie Hall Tiner, her father John Hyden as well as step father Dustry Rhodes.
