He was born on September 6, 1952 in Kenedy, Texas (Karnes County) to Amelia (Morin) and Henry Villarreal Sr. He grew up in Baytown, Texas. He served in the Marine Corps from 1970 until his honorable discharge in 1975 and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Henry traveled to Mexico many times and loved to share stories of his great adventures. He met his wife, Rosario, in Victoria, Texas, and they married in 1980. Together they had two children and moved to Austin in 1987. He owned and operated Austin Truck Wash Steam Cleaning Service. He enjoyed fishing, family gatherings, and most of all, traveling to casinos and game rooms. He was also a very talented woodworker. It was therapy for him when he would make wooden crosses from many different pieces of wood. He loved to share these with people and give them away.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Demetrio Villarreal and his sister, Janie Martinez. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife of 42 years, Rose; his children, Dominic and Nicholas Villarreal and Monnie Villarreal and Michelle Guzman; grandchildren, Victoria and Isabella Villarreal and Abryannah and Antonio Guzman; and his sisters, Chris Wall (Richard) and her son, Steven Ramirez, and Louisa Tufty and her daughter, Carla. He is also survived by many brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the St. David’s North Austin Fourth Floor Nursing and Dialysis Staff, the staff at WellBound of Austin Dialysis Center Satellite Healthcare and the VA of Austin.
