Gary Lynn Morrison, 66, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2011 at home with his loved ones by his side. He battled pancreatic cancer for a year. Gary was born on March 5, 1945 in Brownwood, TX, the oldest of three children. He was a devout Christian, loving husband, father, and grandfather.
Gary served in the Army after attending Texas Tech University for 2 years. After completing his service in the Army, he attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he later graduated. Gary went on to become a certified public accountant and was a partner with Gindler, Chappell, Morrison, and Co. until his retirement in 2010. He loved watching sports, spending time with family, and eating peanut M&Ms while drinking Coca-Cola.
Gary is preceded in death by his parents, Darrell and Elva Morrison. He is survived by his sisters, Jane Little and Pat Carter; his wife, Linda Morrison; daughter Steffany Hass and husband Matt; daughter Adrienne Cunningham and husband Richard; daughter Alexis Brockwell and husband Jesse; son Jaime Peralez-Segura and wife Sara; and grandkids Jason, Brittany, Lane, Kaylin, and Rebekah.
Visitation will be Friday, October 14th from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Cook-Walden Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15th at 10:00 a.m., also at Cook-Walden Capital Parks. Burial will take place at Cook-Walden Memorial Hill Cemetery in Pflugerville.
