Filadelfo Mondragon, a strong and hardworking man, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 8, 2024, at the age of 87. Born in Mexico, Filadelfo was a firm believer in the power of hard work and strength. He always said, "I can do anything; I'm a strong and hardworking man." Filadelfo was the proud father of 10 children, although 2 of them had already passed away. His family was his pride and joy, and he cherished every moment spent with them. With 44 grandchildren and 56 great-great-grandchildren, Filadelfo loved having a big family.
His dedication to his wife and children knew no bounds, and he was known for being a loving husband and a caring father, always putting his family first. In his free time, Filadelfo enjoyed listening to music and tending to his fruit trees and vegetable garden. He had a green thumb and took great pleasure in gardening. He also had a soft spot for animals, particularly horses, chickens, cats, dogs, and birds. He loved watching Jaripeos (rodeos) on TV and indulged in his love for watermelon whenever he had the chance.
Filadelfo's life was a testament to the values of hard work, love for family, and simple pleasures. He was a role model to many and left behind a legacy of strength, love, and dedication. His memory will live on through the love and lessons he shared with his family and everyone around him.
A visitation for Filadelfo will be held Monday, October 14, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660. Following the visitation will be a graveside service at 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
Filadelfo will be laid to rest in Cook-Walden/ Capital Parks Cemetery, 14501 North Interstate 35, Pflugerville, Texas 78660.
