Carmen was a woman who embodied the very essence of love, kindness and unwavering strength. Her presence was a beacon of warmth in the lives of her children and grandchildren, and her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She loved her children and grandchildren and the man who stole her heart 68 years ago, Santos, more than anything. She would ask for him until her last days.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her son, Joe Santos Castillo Jr.; her caretaker and granddaughter, Patricia Anne Ibarra; ten grandchildren and twenty-one great-grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her longtime companion and soulmate, Santos Castillo and children, Lorenzo “Larry” Castillo, Adam Castillo, Robert “Bobby” Castillo and Martha “Marti” Castillo.
A memorial visitation for Carmen will be held Friday, December 20, 2024 at 6:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in Pflugerville, with a rosary prayer service following at 7:00 p.m. A memorial service celebrating Carmen's life will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, December 21, 2024 in the funeral home chapel. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Cemetery.
