Bobby Stewart was born in Austin, TX on June 19, 1956. Austin born and bred, he graduated
from Lanier High School, where he was highly involved with the FFA and agricultural community.
Bobby spent over 30 years of service working for the Lower Colorado River Authority, leading in
the field of Substation Diagnostics. After retiring from LCRA in 2009, Bobby continued to lend
his services to Pike Electric and Primoris Construction Services. Bobby was also a member of
the T. Neal Porter Masonic Lodge.
On March 27, 1982, Bobby married the love of his life, Gloria Jean Eaton who he remained
married to for 42 years. Together, he and Gloria finally fulfilled his lifelong dream of becoming a
sheep and goat rancher by building a ranch in Goldthwaite, Texas. Bobby was the father of
Jordan Michael Stewart and a wonderful grandfather to Jordan’s two children. He got so much
joy from being surrounded by his family and took pride in being a father and grandfather. Bobby
was most at home rounding up sheep, loyal ranch dogs, and his beloved grandchildren.
Bobby is preceded in death by his mother Billie Ruth Sites Lanpher, and father William Thomas
Stewart. He is survived by his wife Gloria, son Jordan, daughter-in-law Katie, and grandchildren
Samuel & Riley. He is also survived by his siblings and their spouses: Jim & Karen Stewart and
Joyce & Frank Partee.
Services to celebrate Bobby’s life will be held at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home in
Pflugerville, Texas. Viewing and visitation will be Sunday, May 12, 2024 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Memorial Service and Committal will be on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 10:00 a.m., at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Pflugerville, Texas.
