Arturo Sepulbeda

Arturo was born and raised in Crystal City, TX, before moving to Round Rock, TX, where he made his home. He was one of two children born to Consuelo Rivera and is survived by his brother, Angel Sepulveda.

Arturo’s love for his family was unconditional. His wife, children, and grandchildren were his greatest treasures, and he was always present in their lives, watching them grow.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Evangelina Sepulveda (Eva), whom he fondly called “My Love”; his only daughter, Brenda A. Martinez (Samuel R. Mason Jr.); and his three sons, Manuel Sepulveda, Michael Sepulveda, and Arturo Sepulveda Jr. (Kimberly Arteaga). Arturo was a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren: Michael Scott Martinez, Samyra N. Martinez, Samuel R. Mason III (Trey), Joliange Sepulveda, Solange Sepulveda, Destiny Sepulveda, Victoria Lowe, and Arturo Sepulveda III. He also adored his fur baby, Nadia, and his fur grandbabies, Zoey and Chewy.

Early in life, Arturo learned the value of hard work, and he passed that ethic on to his children. He worked at the Del Monte Factory in Crystal City, TX, where he met his wife. After moving to Round Rock, TX, he pursued his passion for driving. Arturo worked for Schwan’s Company for about 10 years before moving on to Caliber Care + Transport and later Med Lift Patient Transport. He retired after being diagnosed with cancer. His patients often spoke of how much they loved him and how they would request him as their driver because of his kindness and empathy. Arturo never met a stranger and loved talking to people.

Arturo enjoyed being outside and loved grilling, often firing up the grill for any occasion. If there was smoke coming from his house, you could be sure he was cooking something delicious.

A lover of travel, Arturo was always up for an adventure with his wife, Eva. They shared over 45 wonderful years together, with him as the driver and her as the copilot. Whether for a planned trip or a spontaneous drive, they would hop in the car, enjoy a meal, and see where the road would take them. Arturo fondly referred to these journeys as “cruising.” Together, they explored many places throughout the United States and Canada.

Arturo loved nature, spending time with family and friends, drinking his morning coffee, collecting hats, watching wrestling and sci-fi, and enjoying the simple things in life. In his younger years, he played, coached, and umpired baseball. He also enjoyed dancing to his favorite Tejano music, often breaking into a dance while grilling.

A passionate lover of food, especially Mexican cuisine, Arturo was known for his warm smile, his sense of humor, and his nonjudgmental attitude. Even on his worst days, he kept a positive outlook. Despite the pain and side effects from chemotherapy, he always reassured others by saying, “Don’t worry about me,”

with a smile on his face.

Arturo faithfully served the Lord. His passing is precious in the eyes of God, who sees and cherishes his life and legacy. Arturo fought bravely until the end and is now with the Lord, free from pain.

Arturo will be dearly missed by many and will always be remembered as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

A visitation for Arturo will be held Saturday, October 12, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Cook-Walden/Capital Parks Funeral Home, 14501 North Ih-35, Pflugerville, TX 78660. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at External Service Location, 14501 N Interstate 35 Frontage Rd, Pflugerville, TX 78660.
