Bickell, Edwin David “Ted”; Suddenly on Monday October 17, 2022 at the age of 74. Beloved husband and best friend of Mary Jane (McWilliams) for 50 years. Dear father of Susanne Williams (Mark) and Katie Militaru-Bickell (Angel). Proud and caring Poppa of Zachary, Carter and Preston; Sofia and Anika. Brother of Sandra Williams (deceased) and her husband Bob; Sally Lewis (Tom). Devoted son of the late Ed and Dorothy Bickell. Ted will be missed by the McWilliams Family: brothers-in-law Dan (Ginny); Jim; John (deceased) and his wife Kim; Mike (Charmaine) and Peter (Vicki). Ted will also be remembered by many nieces and nephews. He equally enjoyed new adventures and the simple things in life –always keeping active, laughing and looking after others. 18 years retired, doing what he loved right up to his final moments. Ted will be fondly remembered for his dedication to his family and his witty sense of humour. Family and friends will be received at the COMSTOCK-KAYE Life Celebration Centre 356 Rubidge Street from 12:00 pm to 2:30 pm on Thursday October 27th, followed by a Memorial Service at 2:45 pm (reception afterwards). In lieu of flowers, in memory of Ted, donations to Community Care Lakefield, The PRHC Foundation –Emergency and Urgent Care- or The Salvation Army, would be appreciated by the family. The teammates, paramedics, doctors and nurses who rallied around Ted, investing all their energy and expertise into trying to save his life, are asked to accept the family's deepest gratitude.
