Patrick (Pat) Francis Hynes

Devoted husband to Carol (nee Edmondson) for 54 years. Loving Father to Michael and Karen Hynes, John and Ellen Hynes, Elizabeth (predeceased), Julie and Ron MacLean, Matthew and Rebecca Hynes. Wonderful grandfather to Michaella, Mariah, Elizabeth, Shannon, Keira, Ben, Aiden, Oliver, Elias and Faith. Brother of Paul (Janice) Hynes, Steve (Donna) Hynes, Carl (Cathy) Hynes, Karen (Tom) Watt. Brother-in-law to Bill (Lynda) Edmondson, Robert Edmondson, Doug Edmondson and Ruth van Vierzen, Jim Edmondson and Kristina Curren. Uncle Pat to many nieces and nephews.

He could be found on the sideline either coaching or watching his children and grandchildren play soccer, hockey, baseball, ringette, dance. In addition, he would attend steel drum and piano concerts and robotic competitions. He was always available to help with a construction project, whether it was at the cottage, a deck, a shed or a basement.

He was involved in the community, either at the Old Teachers College late in the evening to flood or clean off the community hockey rink, shovel a driveway or cut a lawn for a neighbour, or attend one of the neighbour’s children’s sporting events.

He was a loving father and grandfather who was always there for us. He shared hugs and kisses from his children and grandchildren. He has given us many wonderful memories that will be treasured in our hearts forever.
