It is with sadness we say farewell to our amazing daughter and sister Miranda Riley Fisher as she preferred.
She was surrounded by Lisa, Frank, her sisters Alisha and Hailey and her brother Cameron as she made a gentle transition into heaven on Monday November 25, 2024 at the age of 30.
Those of us who were lucky to have crossed paths with her know what a bright and shining star she was. Miranda was strong-willed, and so very inquisitive and could easily debate any subject that she took an interest in. Whether she was singing, dancing, or reciting some random Star Wars trivia, historical fact or political opinion, she always had something to say. Miranda held lead roles in school plays, became an overnight YouTube sensation in Croatia and wherever she went she captivated her audiences. Miranda’s interest in history and cultures inspired her travels to many provinces and countries making close friends in the Maritimes, Croatia and Sweden. Her favourite job was as a tour guide in Toronto. She delighted tourists with the historical significance and relevance of virtually every building throughout the downtown.
Beloved daughter of Lisa Fisher (Frank Peters). Loving sister of Alisha Fisher, Hailey De Melo (Mark) and Cameron Suggitt. Dear aunt of Noah De Melo. Granddaughter of Jean Fisher (and the late Irvine), Beatrice Suggitt (and the late Mervyn). She will also be missed by many extended family and friends who wish her the peace now that she so rightly deserves.
Sadly, Miranda faced significant challenges over the last years. The family encourages anyone who is struggling with mental health and addiction to seek support and assistance and stay connected to the people that love them.
A Service of Remembrance of Miranda’s life will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Saturday December 7, 2024 at 11:00 am.
In memory of Miranda, donations may be made to the Humane Society and Amnesty International.
