It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend on April 18, 2022. Mary May Moore (nee Lindsay) left our presence and “entered into eternal rest” April 18th in her 86th year at Sunnybrook Hospital, Toronto.
Mary was the beloved wife of the late Ross Mellivan Moore (June 2019) of 65 years. Mother of five children, Dennis (Linda) Moore, Debbie (late Doug) Hudson, Laura (Larry) Weatherilt, Charlene (Bob) Brown and Jeff (Jessica) Moore. Grandmother to Nick (Colleen) Weatherilt, Amber (Rob) Videto, Alicia (Peter) Hamstra, Justin (Atheana) Brown, Devin (Laura) Brown, Kyle (Michelle) Moore, Shelley (Scott) Bordun, Shawny Cameron, Cameron, Leah, Wyatt Moore. Great grandmother to Landyn, Kato, Kina, Amalya, Thea, Violet, Orah, Keira, Eric, Jerica and Jorie. Good friend and neighbour of Shirley Cole and many wonderful friends. She will be dearly missed by her companion Pixie.
She was the beloved sister of Ruth Barber, predeceased by Gorman Lindsay, Gord Lindsay, Bill Perry and Charlie Perry.
Mary lived in Bridgenorth for over 60 years and set a high standard on how to love and help others. She was always willing to help anyone in need with love. She had many friends whom she kept in touch with on a regular basis for many years. She was loved by all and will be dearly missed. She always enjoyed being busy, loved working with her hands crafting, baking, sewing, cooking and her latest love, her Ipad. She made and decorated all her grandchildren’s cakes for birthdays. They just told her what they wanted and she would design and create it for them. She was very proud of her family and everyone knew they could always count on her.
Mary was also an active member of Gilmour Memorial Baptist Church. She cherished and held dear her many friends that were always there for her. Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre on Wednesday April 27th from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Visitation will also be held in the Comstock-Kaye Chapel 356 Rubidge Street, Thursday April 28th from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by the service at 11:15 am.
