M. Bernie Bernadette Rossiter Doiron

Suddenly on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Peterborough Extendicare at 78 years of age. Beloved wife of Leo Doiron for 54 years. Loving Mom of Jean Doiron, Andre (Sheila Deluzio), Lorna (Mark) McGillis, and Margot (Kevin) Austin. Dear Nana of Terry, Gabriel, Claire, Aidan, Brock, Morgan, Alana and Laurel. Sister of Frances Carmichael of Charlottetown and Philip Rossiter of Toronto. Predeceased by her parents Philip & Alycia Rossiter, sisters Phyllis and Louisa and her brother Roderick. In earlier years Bernie was a volunteer with the Alzheimer Society and throughout her married life was an active member of the Catholic Women’s League. The family wish to express their deep appreciation to the great staff and volunteers at Extendicare Peterborough for the excellent care and attention Bernie received during her stay there. Visitation will be held from 7:00 - 9:00 pm on Friday, May 31, 2013 at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street. Funeral Mass will take place at THE CATHEDRAL OF ST. PETER-IN-CHAINS, 411 Reid Street, on Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 10:30 am. Interment St. Peter’s Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Alzheimer Society would be greatly appreciated by Bernie’s family.
