My dear Father-In-Law,  this is your Daughter-in-law (Cylvia) Eugene your son's wife. I will miss our almost wkly conversations in depth, laughing & or just hearing your voice! Although we hadn't had a chance to meet in person, we still met via conversations. Thank you for the things that you did do. I hope you knew in your last days how LOVED you were. I don't necessarily like good- byes,  so my Favorite Father-In-Law until we meet again! ❤

I first met Lou in 1985.He was one of my instructors at SSFC. We became great friends at that time. Although we lost touch with each other as years passed, I have often thought of Lou and wondered how he was doing. He was not only a teacher...mentor...but a friend with whom i hoisted more than a few cold ones when he lived  on Pottinger Street in Lindsay. The stories he told will stay with me forever.So long old buddy...rest well...you earned it.

I did not know Louis personally. I know his son Sean. Some things you may not know about Louis is that he raised his two sons on his own.  As a single mother of two, I know how demanding that can be. In Sean, he raised a genuinely good person. Someone who is full of integrity, hard work and honesty. For these reasons and so many other intangible values he instilled, I honor his life and legacy. I Eugene Simmons am the eldest living Brother of the remaining 4 brothers. Along with my 2 Beautiful Sisters Gail and Jessica....Both My Wife Cylvia and I are saddened at this time but remain assured that you are absolutely in good hands now.  WeThank you and appreciate the conversations we shared and laughs we had. My Wife certainly misses the time spent getting to know the Man. She is Convinced you are surely a Wonderful person and misses you as we all do.

Lou Simmons will be Greatly missed
I Eugene Simmons, 1 of 5 Sons im Aware of. We all Wish him Peace and love as well as Congratulations for a job well done To my remaining Brothers and Sisters, as your Hearts are heavy at this time we know Gods love is wrapped around him and we are all Proud of the life he lived and all our lives are in some way better for it. God bless you Pops and thanks for the Memories we all  will Cherish .

Deepest sympathy to the family of Louis Simmons.  My dear friend Gail Simmons Bingham is his eldest child. I will always remember meeting him.   He was friendly, challenging and warm to me, and we enjoyed good conversation as we travelled to Gail's daughter's wedding.  God bless the family.


I really enjoyed the visits I had with Lou of behalf of Community Care,  Buckhorn.  He was a very personable, interesting person. and a gentleman.   He had some good stories to tell about his life.  He will be remembered fondly by our Community Care volunteers.  Pat Wade

I only met Lou once but spoke with him frequently, on the 'phone.  I loved his sense of humour and enjoyed many interesting conversations with him.  He led a very interesting life.  Rest in peace, Lou.
