Jessie McIntyre McMullin-Sickles

Peacefully on Monday, March 17th, 2014 in her 93rd year. Jessie passed away after a valiant struggle with cancer. Loving wife of the late Archibald McMullin and William Sickles. She is survived by her children: Gerry (the late Heather), John (Rosemary), Marie (Paul McGoey) and Arlene (Jim Harrison); grandchildren: Jason (Shelley), Patrick, Michael (Sasha) , Kim, Gregory and Jeffrey; great-grandchildren: MaeBelle, Alexis, Ethan, Nathaniel, Aiden and the late Tarok. Predeceased by brothers: Richard McIntyre and Norman McIntyre; sisters: Adeline Boudreau, Rita Matheson and Catherine Kennedy. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and friends from “down home” in Cape Breton Island, her birthplace, and by friends and family of the Sickles’ in New York State. Passionate about music, playing the organ and travelling, she lived life to the fullest. Long retired to Florida, she had fond memories of her work life at Toronto General, Canada Life and CIBC. Visitation will be held at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough (parking across the street) on Saturday, March 22, 2014 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by a Memorial Service in the Chapel at 2:00 pm.
