GILLIES, Helen Audrey – Peacefully at the Palliative Care Unit PRHC on Monday, November 18th, 2013 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Ray Gillies (1992). Loving mother of Barb and her husband Bob Hess of Peterborough. Aunt of Nancy Ward, Janet Lafortune and Susan Forget. Survived by many cousins. Predeceased by her brothers Ernest Ward and Walter Ward. Helen was a longtime Choir and U.C.W. member of both Knox and George Street United Churches and was a very active volunteer for many years for the Peterborough Theatre Guild. A Funeral Service will take place in the chapel at COMSTOCK FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 356 Rubidge Street on Wednesday, November 20th at 2:30 p.m.. Visitation will be held before the service from 1:30 – 2:30 p.m. Interment at Little Lake Cemetery. In memory of Helen, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
