Henry was a true gentlemen. He was both my Sergeant and later, after I was promoted, the first Staff Sergeant I served under as a Sergeant. He was a true leader and one of my policing mentors. His legacy as a police officer in Peterborough lives on in those who learned from him, and in what they, in turn, have passed on to those who learn from them. Rest in Peace, Sir. You will be remembered as a  " Police Officer's Police Officer. "

When my dad cameto Canada on 1950 one of the first kids to befriend him was Hank.  They have been friends ever since. He came ro my dad's service 2 years ago and i said I guess it's me that will be calling you at Christmas time. I did and I visited him when he was in the hospital last year.  God bless you Henry, call you at Christmas.

Very sad to hear of Hanks passing thought of him often and the fun times we had both in Canada and here in Scotland his memory will never fade R.I.P. old friend.

It is always sad and difficult to accept when you lose a member of your family. We always say that the memories will carry us through it all but the hurt is always present.

Dear Lynn, together with all in your immediate and extended family, sorry to learn of the sudden passing of your father. I vividly recall my last opportunity to chat with him during an impromptu meet we had at Hunt Terraces last year. We enjoyed a pleasant visit. He was so kind and attentive to your mother.  Your father was the epitome of class, and exemplified the highest standards of the Peterborough Police Service. His stellar reputation is touted by his retired peers.  I extend my condolences to you,  and offer a memorial verse to comfort you during your time of loss. 
A limb has fallen from the Todd family tree, that says grieve not for me. Remember the best times we had, the love we shared, the laughter, the song, the good life I lived while I was strong.
May indelible cherished memories last a life time.

Hank has been my dear friend and mentor for over 40 years.  He has been nothing but sincere, empathetic, polite and exemplified the highest level of professionalism as a police officer.  We always found time for each other, whether it was to travel, go out for breakfast or just have a coffee. It was hard to see his decline over the past few years but he never stopped doing what was required to try and stay healthy. It will be different without him in my life. Rest in peace my friend!!

In 1984 I began a career in policing and was very fortunate to have Henry as my first Staff Sargent.  I will  fondly remember  Henry as a very approachable, kind hearted and encouraging supervisor.  He was a true gem.  He was definitely one of the few great ones and I feel privileged to have known him.
