Knox-Southerland, Elizabeth Anne “Betty” – Passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Thursday, November 1, 2012. Beloved wife of Eugene Southerland and the late Gregory Knox (1988). Dear mother of Virginia McWilliams (Dan) of Cavan, Derri Knox (Bonnie), Jonni Knox (Terri-Lynn), Julie Kayser (Rob) and Robbie Knox (Veronica) all of Peterborough. Cherished Nana Betts of Liza, Daria, Greg, Michael, Andrew, Chelsea, R.J., Jeffrey, Tori & Robbie. Stepmother of Shawn Southerland. Sister of the late Ted Green. Betty attended Peterborough Teachers College and taught with the Peterborough County Board of Education, retiring in 1989. She achieved her Bachelor and Masters of Education during her teaching career. Betty enjoyed summers with family at the Bellevidere on Stoney Lake and winters with Gene in Panama City Beach, Florida.
