Owner of Kawartha Trailer
Passed away peacefully at Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Monday, December 2, 2024 at the age of 81. Brian was the beloved husband of Geraldine (née Jerry) for over 59 years. Loving father of Andrew Royston (Mia) and Timothy Royston (Lisa). Survived by his sister Beverley Royston, predeceased by his siblings the late Shirley Kennedy (the late Peter), the late Ronnie Royston (the late Lois), the late David (survived by Lois) and brothers-in-law the late John Jerry (survived by Marilynn) and the late Peter Jerry (survived by Rose) and by his parents the late Frederick and the late Mary Royston. Brian will also be missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Brian first started working in Montreal for CPR, following in his father’s footsteps, this would turn into a life-long passion and in his retirement, Brian created his own model railroad that brought much joy to him and his family. He also had a passion for the water and travelling on his boat to the Peterborough Marina with Geraldine, this eventually led to them re-locating to the area. Many summer nights were spent on the Trojan and this was a time where favourite family memories were made. A special thank you to the Paramedics, Firefighters and Staff of PRHC (Emergency & ICU) – your care was outstanding and you brought great comfort to our family. In keeping with Brian’s wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of Life will be held in the spring – details to come in the New Year. In Brian’s memory, a donation to the PRHC Foundation, Salvation Army or Peterborough Humane Society would be appreciated by the family.
