Peacefully on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre at 89 years of age. Bev was the beloved wife of the late Kenneth (2009) for 58 years. Loving mother of Barry (Sian), Sandy Gavard (Stephen), the late Scott (survived by Valerie) and the late David (the late Anne). Grandmother of Emily, Thomas, Jack, Grace, Katie, Kevin, Brian, and Christopher. Great-grandmother of Dylan, Sydney & Nicholas. Predeceased by her parents John Sanford Scott and Elizabeth Jane Scott (née Norquay) and her sisters Audrey Hawkins and Muriel (Merle) Thompson. Grammy was our beloved "tough old bird" and a dear friend to many. She loved sharing a good laugh over coffee, a game of cards or a meal around the campfire. She always looked forward to summers spent at her trailer in Dexter, New York. Visitation will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street on Thursday, March 23rd from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., with a Memorial Service to follow at 3:00 p.m., Rev. Lyle Horn officiating. Light refreshments will be served after the service. Bev’s preference was for comfortable and colourful clothes at the funeral. Face masks are welcomed, but not required. In memory of Bev, a donation to Hospice Peterborough, Peterborough Humane Society or a Women’s Shelter of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
