Peacefully at Royal Gardens, Peterborough on Saturday, October 1, 2022, in her 96th year, Betty was reunited with the love of her life, the late Donato “Dootch” Vitarelli (2009). Mother of Linda Vitarelli. Predeceased by her parents Murray McMahon and Lucille Heard, brother Bill McMahon (the late Doris) and sister Barbara Short (the late Elwin). Aunt to several nieces and nephews. Betty will be greatly missed by her nieces Heather and Diane and friends from the “lunch bunch”. A Memorial Service will be held at Comstock-Kaye Life Celebration Centre, 356 Rubidge Street, Peterborough on Tuesday, October 11th at 10:30 a.m. with a reception to follow. Cremation has taken place and Betty will be laid to rest with her husband Dootch in a private family interment at St. Peter’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Peterborough Humane Society would be greatly appreciated.
