Jerry L. Richardson

Jerry L. Richardson, 71, of Bowling Green, Ohio died peacefully on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at Clare Bridge Memory Care. He was born in Toledo, Ohio on April 22, 1944 to James and Grace (Kimble) Richardson. Jerry graduated from Maumee High School and received his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Bowling Green State University.

Jerry proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He was an assistant director of student placement for Bowling Green State University for 19 years and subsequently worked for Wood County Committee on Aging retiring in 2010. Jerry was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in B.G. He was an avid fan of the BGSU hockey team and the women’s basketball team.

Jerry is survived by his brothers, Jim (Patty) Richardson of Fort Collins, CO. and Jay (Cecilia) Richardson of Perrysburg, OH, and many caring nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Friends will be received on Saturday May 30, 2015 between 10 and 11 a.m., at Witzler Shank Funeral Home, 222 East South Boundary Street, Perrysburg, (419-874-3133) with memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Wood County Committee on Aging, 305 N.
