Sherry Lynn Haschke, 81, of Peoria passed away on Friday, December 27, 2024 and ascended into the loving arms of her Lord and Savior and is now heavenly happy. She was born on October 9, 1943 in Peoria, a daughter of Eugene and Emma Margaret (Grieser) Clayton. Sherry married Oskar Haschke on July 27, 1963 in Peoria. He survives.
She is also survived by her two children, Eric Haschke and Nicki Haschke of Peoria; her brother, Frank, Jr. (and Cathi) Gingery; nieces, Debbie Alsdorf, Lisa Walczak, Heidi (and Joe) Homerding, Sarah (and Steve) Rowader, Jim (and Lori) Derby, Abigail (and Ben) Lewis, Lory Sandberg, Debbie (and Lee) Lyons, Heidi (and Scott) Crumrine, Molly (and Chuck) Gray; nephew, Archie (and Tommy Coy) Lyons; along with several cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Sherry was preceded in death by her parents, and stepfather, Frank Gingery, Sr., sister Joleen (Clayton) Rudolph, brother-in-law, Harold Rudolph, and half-sister, Sandy (and Ken) Devault.
A 1961 graduate of Woodruff High School, Sherry worked at Commercial National Bank until she was employed as the bookkeeper of Peoria Players Theatre for 46 years, from 1978.
She was a member of Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Sherry loved her theatre family, music and her beloved cats.
Sherry's funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at the Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Her visitation will be from 9:00 am to 11:00 am also on Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peoria Players Theatre.
