Ruth Moore

She was born September 4, 1960 in Henry, IL to Harold and Lucille (Wabel) Balensifen. She married Ronald D. Swiger on August 9, 1981 in Peoria. She later married Patrick S. Moore on May 28, 1999 in Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are her husband, Patrick Moore of Peoria, her two daughters, Amy (Matt) Swiger Schmidgall of Bartonville and Rebecca “Becky” Swiger of Peoria. Also surviving are two brothers, Ed (Charlotte) Balensifen of Henry, Jim (Deelyn) Balensifen of Bloomington; two sisters, Mary Lou Balensifen of Princeton and Joan Brown of Navou, IL and her two cats, Lala and Louie.

Ruth worked for Wal-Mart for over 17 years and was an Assistant Manager at the Allen Rd. Wal-Mart until August 2010 when she left due to illness. Thou she lost her fight with cancer, she never lost the battle. Ruth attended Northwood’s Community Church in Peoria and enjoyed time with family and friends. She loved to do crafting, shopping and lived life to the fullest.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be Tuesday, August 16, 2011 at 11:00 am with a visitation one hour prior to the service at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. The Rev. Jerry J. Trecek will officiate. Burial of the urn will follow the service at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
