Ronnie Dean Cook, age 66, of Peoria, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Ronnie was born on February 27, 1948 in Peoria to Daniel Cook and Lorraine (McCaulley) Cook-Blanch. He married Betty Eden. He later married Lynn Waters on October 26, 1997 in Peoria. Ronnie is survived by his wife, Lynn; his children, Ronnie Dwayne (Tara) Cook of Peoria, IL and Angela (Ronnie) Cook of Oklahoma; his step-children, Frederick Duane King of Peoria, IL, Brion Wade King of Peoria, IL, Robin Cherie Frank of Georgia and Jacob Curtis Frank of Peoria, IL; 13 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; his sisters, Pat Defreitas of Peoria, IL, Linda (Brent) Blakey of Peoria, IL, Janice (Dean) Morgan of Bellevue, IL, Sandy (Gene) Williams of Bellevue, IL, Sherry Covarrubias of Peoria, IL and Susan (Wayne) Morrison of Bartonville, IL; his brothers, Robert (Rita) Blanch of Peoria, IL, Daniel (Barb) Cook, Jr. of Jacksonville, IL, and John (Nancy) Cook of Peoria, IL; one half-sister and three half-brothers, Eleanor Mulligan of East Peoria, IL, Robert Blanch, Jr. of Missouri, Marion “Bud” Blanch of East Peoria, IL and Eddie (Pam) Blanch of Sunnyland, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his step-father, Robert Blanche; one sister, Nancy Cook and one half-sister, Marsha Spiller. Ronnie served in the U.S. Army. He worked construction for the Local 165 for over 25 year and later owned and operated Teddy’s Towing. Ronnie enjoyed watching old westerns, collecting guns and was a motorcycle enthusiast. He was a member of Crossroads Baptist Church on Galena Road. Services will be held on Friday, June 27, 2014 at 1pm at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 26, 2014 from 6pm to 8pm at the funeral home. Rev. James Clark will be officiating. Burial will be at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria.
