It is with profound sadness that we share the passing of Renee Marie (Luckett) Samborski, age 61, on Wednesday, December 18, 2024, surrounded by loved ones. A beloved wife, devoted mother & grandmother, and cherished friend, Renee left this world peacefully and will forever be treasured.
She is survived by her husband Kazimierz Samborski; her children Keith (Savannah) Luckett, Casey (Susie) Samborski and Nicole Samborski; her grandchildren Ciara Loring, Eliessia Bailey, Arianna Placide and Nevaeh Lowe; her brothers Frank (Denise) Luckett and Robert Luckett; as well as her beloved fur baby Molly. Renee was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Robert Luckett, and her sister, Debra Luckett.
Renee was born June 25, 1963, in Chicago, Illinois. After school, she worked and during this time she met, fell in love and got married to her now husband Kazimierz Samborski on December 24, 1985. As a now loving military wife, she traveled to numerous duty stations to be by her husband’s side, all while providing a loving and nurturing home for her family. Together, they lived in Alameda, CA, Camp Lejeune, NC, Parris Island, SC, Honolulu, HI, Newport News, VA and finally settling in Peoria, IL, making friends and lasting memories along the way, all while completing her education.
Renee lived a life marked by unwavering kindness, strength, and dedication to her family. Known for her warm smile, infectious laugh, quick wit, and sarcasm at times, she had an extraordinary ability to make everyone around her feel valued and happy. She was the cornerstone of the family, a relentless supporter who believed in everyone even when they sometimes struggled to believe in themselves. Whether cooking family meals or simply lending an ear, her devotion was unmatched. She spent her life sharing her incredible capacity for love and instilling family values of compassion and resiliency.
Throughout her life, Renee was known to pursue many activities, interests, and hobbies with lots of enthusiasm. She enjoyed family barbecues and relaxing in the pool during the summer. Music was always a part of every celebration and holiday, especially Rock & Roll, with her favorite artist being Elvis Presley. Renee had a special affection for Indian artifacts including porcelain dolls, dreamcatchers and figurines, which is displayed throughout her home and became a defining feature of hers. Renee’s love for her nationality was reflected in numerous decorations that brought a sense of pride and personality to her surroundings in her home. She enjoyed playing bingo with family and friends, all while occasionally beating the odds.
Renee found joy in life’s simple pleasures such as family gatherings for Thanksgiving and Christmas. She always went above and beyond to prepare delicious meals and beautiful decorations for her children and grandchildren; always making sure to bring the holiday spirit with fun, laughter, and tradition.
Although she may have departed from this Earth, her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us. Her light will continue to shine through the lives she touched and the love she shared. She will be deeply missed but never forgotten and we will honor her memory by upholding the values she cherished.
