Raymond Reddell Davis

Peoria - Raymond Reddell Davis, 21, of Peoria, passed away on August 8, 2020 in Seattle, WA. He was born on January 16,1999 in Chicago to Raymond Amos and Teresa Davis. He married Bryanna Danielle Katanic on February 27, 2020 in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are his parents and siblings; sister, Rachel Davis, brothers William Davis and Ramon Davis of Peoria; sisters Tameka Davis, Tonya Davis, brothers Terrance Davis, Jimmy Johnson of Chicago.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Willie Davis; his grandmother, Alberta Davis; and his cousin, Jordin Wilson.

He was serving as an Air traffic controller for the United States Navy, stationed in Seattle, WA. He was a graduate of Manual High School class of 2018. He attended Illinois Central College, and completed training at the Peoria Police Dept. His interest were video gaming and coding, playing basketball, wrestling, movies and staying fit. He also was a pet lover and enjoyed playtime with his pet German shepherd “Herbo” and cat “Cole”, he also enjoyed sightseeing and spending time near the Riverfront.

Raymond's funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 27, 2020 at Bay View Baptist Church in Washington. Pastor Rafael Ramirez will officiate. A visitation will be one hour prior to the service also at the church. Burial will take place in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria with full military honors.
