Born May 10, 1958 in Peoria to Carl and Patricia (Boyle) Weber; he married Barbara Belsley Sander on August 10, 1985 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, Barbara Weber; children, Tara (Jeff) Binder of Kickapoo, Tom Sander of Peoria and Jon (Shiela) Sander of Bunker Hill, IL; grandchildren, Kyle and Jayla Binder, Chloe Sander, Dakota Smith, David (Larissa) Sander, Cheyenne, Shane and Tommy Sander; great grandchildren, Waylon Novack and Ruth Sander; sisters, Cindy (Jerry) Stiger and Becky (Winston) Tinsley and brothers, Rick (Cindy) Weber and Rusty (Dana) Weber.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Randy was recognized recently as a lifelong public servant for his 35 years of service to the Peoria County Sheriff’s Office as a Correctional Officer, receiving awards and commendations including two Life Saving Awards and twice recognized as Correctional Officer of the Year in 1990 and 2005. He also served on the Peoria County Zoning Board of Appeals. Randy served Kickapoo Township Board as a trustee for 22 years and was twice Past President of the Peoria County Township Officials Association.
In retirement, for 7 years, Randy drove a school bus for special needs children for the Dunlap School District. He really loved those kids.
He was a member of the Peoria County Fraternal Order of Police Union and Guns Save Life.
Randy loved attending his grandkids sports events and hiking with Barbara. He enjoyed fishing and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan.
Visitation will be 2:00-5:00 pm Monday, January 23, 2023 at Northwoods Community Church with a funeral service following at 5:00 pm. Cremation will be accorded by Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home following the ceremony.
Memorials are suggested to the Brimfield Fire Department and Northwoods Community Church.
