She was born on May 15, 1931 in Harrisburg, Illinois to William and Helen (Jackson) Threet. Phyllis married Albert McCollum on January 16, 1965 in Peoria. He preceded her in death on July 8, 2021.
Phyllis is also preceded by her parents, her four sisters, three brothers and two daughters.
She is survived by her children, Lisa (Dennis) Bryant of Peoria, and Kevin McCollum; ten grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren with one on the way; two great-great-grandchildren; her sister-in-law and her brother-in-law.
Phyllis worked for Caterpillar in Accounts Payable for 28 years until her retirement in 1991. She loved to read and travel. She especially enjoyed her trips to Vegas.
A graveside service will be held at Parkview Cemetery on Tuesday, October 15, 2024 at 1pm with Elmer Moldenhauer to officiate.
