Michelle Lynn Freeman

She was born in Peoria on December 4, 1966 to Harold Kunkel and Patty Shernak.

Michelle is survived by her parents; Harold Kunkel, Dee Kunkel and Dan Shernak; her children, Tyler and Kayli Freeman; her sisters, Jill Rose and Kathy Shernak Seibel and her nephew, Steven Rose/Kayla Rose.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Patty Shernak; brothers, Kent Kunkel and Greg Shernak; grandmother, Viola Kunkel; grandfather, Harold Kunkel Sr.; grandmother, Lois Shernak and Nonnie and Grandpa Diskin.

She attended Limestone High School and graduated class of 1984. Michelle began her professional career as a real estate agent but soon went on to work her dream job as a stay at home Mom, later in her life she obtained her CNA license and dedicated herself to caregiving.

Michelle took great pride in being a fur baby mom. She loved Cali, Bubby, Kiki, Munch and Kitter, her only cat. She loved taking long walks with Cali. Michelle's perfect day was bathing in the sun, splashing in her pool and going shopping.

Michelle's contagious laugh, sense of humor, and her ability to make others laugh will be missed by many.

Visitation will be held Friday, November 29, 2024 from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. at Davison-Fulton-Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home, Peoria. Funeral service will immediately follow at 11:00 a.m., Pastor Ken Linder will officiate. Burial will conclude at Resurrection Cemetery, Peoria.
