Maxine E. Hudson, 96, of Urbana, formerly of Bartonville and Chicago, IL, passed away Saturday, March 11, 2017 at the Carle Foundation Hospital in Champaign. Maxine was born January 9, 1921 in Peoria, IL to William H. and Bertha (Pryor) Hudson. She spent many years in Chicago working as a secretary for G. Fishman & Sons retiring in 1982. Returning to the Peoria area she served as a Family Service Counselor with the Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel and Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. She later enjoyed serving as a consultant for Mary Kay Cosmetics. In recent years she lived in the Champaign-Urbana area and enjoyed many friendships there. She was a member of the Stone Creek Church in Urbana where a memorial service will be held at 10:00 am on Sunday, March 26, 2017 with Pastor Ricky Spindler officiating. Cremation has been accorded by Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria and inurnment will be at Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stone Creek Church.
