Matthew D. "Matt" Strickler

He was born Dec. 10, 1974 in Peoria to David and Judy (Stokowski) Strickler. He married Jessica Hutchison October 9, 2004 in Peoria. She survives, along with his parents of Peoria; three children: Spencer, Taylor, and Autumn Strickler all at home; two sisters: Minda (Mike) Cavill of Atlanta, GA, Molly (Alan) Millis of Houston, TX; his paternal grandparents, Merle and Betty Strickler of Metamora; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, his paternal grandmother, and one aunt.

Matthew worked for the last 15 years for J.A. Fritch in Peoria as a Foreman.

He was a member of Sheet Metal Union One, and was currently attending Northwood’s Community Church.

Matthew dearly loved his children. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and going four wheeling.

Funeral services will be Friday July 2, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Peoria. Rev. Dr. Ben Johnston will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Additional visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. till service time at 11:00 a.m. at church on Friday.

Burial will be in Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.

Memorials may be made to an education fund set up for Matthew’s children through CEFCU, or to Grace Presbyterian Church.
