Mason R. Loy

He was born in Peoria to Jason and Camilla (Stanley) Loy on August 8, 2002. He was the baby brother to Christopher Walker of Creve Coeur and Caleb Walker of Havana. He was a Daddy to Nova-Grace Annette Loy of East Peoria. He was a grandson to Bud and Nancy Loy of Waterwood, Tx, Mike and Cathy Clayton of Peoria and Rick and Darlene Vanderheydt of Pekin. Mason was also a special kid to Eric Thurman of Havana. Mason was preceded in death by his father.

Of all the things Mason was, the greatest thing we all came to admire about him is that he unapologetically lived his life exactly the way he wanted to. He was loyal to his loved ones and stood on his beliefs. He loved to party and make people laugh. You could always find him drinking Twisted Tea or Apple crown gathering as many of his friends as he could to have a good time. Mason was fun, often the life of the party. If Mason loved you, he loved you big and nobody could influence his love for anybody. He accepted everybody as they were and never met a stranger. He loved people. He loved life, and he loved to laugh!

Mason was employed at Caterpillar until April 2023. Last working at Rivian on August 23, 2023 where he was so excited for the advancement opportunities and stability his employment at Rivian provided for his future.

A visitation will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel on Tuesday September 5, 2023 from 5 to 7pm. Bob Coker will officiate his funeral on Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at 10am. Christopher Walker, Caleb Walker, Shaun Montford, Jacob Lunsford, Hilario Arreugin and Brandon Lykins are all honored to carry "Maso" to his final resting place at Parkview Cemetery immediately following his funeral.

The family is planning a celebration of life to be held at the Peoria Heights VFW on Friday, September 8, 2023 at 4pm to carry on Masons mission to have a good time.

Memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
