She was born November 26, 1944, in Noblesville, Indiana to Robert A. and Mary (Hale) Spaethe. Mary married Paul Heintz on August 23, 1970, in Cicero, Indiana. He survives.
Mary is also survived by her children, Karen (Neil) Thomas and Jeffrey (Erin) Heintz; brother, James (Susie) Spaethe, and four grandchildren, William, Nathaniel, Liam, and Everett.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Raised on a farm, Mary developed a deep appreciation for hard work and the beauty of nature from a young age. She was a proud member of 4H, where her passion for agriculture blossomed alongside her love for nurturing life. Her green thumb was evident in her vibrant flower and vegetable gardens, where she spent countless hours tending to her beloved flowers and plants.
Mary's talents extended beyond the fields; she was a skilled seamstress and quilter, and she appreciated and dabbled in art of all kinds. She found joy in breathing new life into antique furniture, restoring each piece with meticulous care and attention to detail. Her home was adorned with various artwork and these lovingly refurbished pieces.
She loved her family deeply and never forgot a birthday or other special occasion. Memories of Mary will forever be cherished by her family and friends; her spirit will live on in the beauty she created and the love she shared with all those fortunate enough to have known her.
Cremation rites have been accorded, there are no services at this time. Davison-Fulton Woolsey Wilton has been entrusted with arrangements.
