Mary Frances (Maharry) Boggs

She was born on December 10, 1951, in Peoria, to Helen (Muthers) and Joseph C. Maharry, Sr.

Surviving are her daughter, Traci (Vince) Millen; grandchildren, SrA. Cooper Dwyer, Madalyn Dwyer, Tucker (Cailin Reiman-Dwyer), Michael Millen, and Parker Millen; brothers, Larry Maharry, Joseph C. Maharry, Jr., Eugene (Beverly) Maharry, and Harold (Rhonda) Maharry; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Jessica Boggs Hajny; sisters, Elaine Maharry, and Jo-Anne (LeRoy) Mennel; and sister-in-law, Connie Maharry.

Mary was retired from OSF St. Francis Medical Center in 2021. She found joy in helping others especially children as a nurse. She was a kind and loving person. Her grandkids were her biggest pride and joy and there’s nothing she wouldn’t do for them. Throughout her life she was a loving daughter, sister, mother and grandma.

Cremation has been accorded. A celebration of life will be held at 2PM on Saturday, February 25, 2023, at SLE` Eatery, 1112 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria, IL 61615.

There were many stray animal lives saved because of Mary’s caring spirit and love for animals, so memorials may be made to PAWS, or an animal rescue charity of your choice.
