She was born in Peoria, IL to William and Cornelia (Deobler) Greiner. She married Paul Sutphin November 22, 1958 in Peoria and he preceded her in death. Her parents also preceded her in death.
Surviving are her children Cynthia (Russell) Taylor of Roodhouse, IL and Walter Sutphin of Yorkville; and three grandchildren, Jessica Sutphin, Rachel (Shaq) Perez, and Zachary Sutphin.
Madelyn worked as a bookkeeper with Keystone Steel and Wire and then as a Sales Associate with Schoenheider Jewelers in Peoria. She was a past member of the Daughter's of the American Revolution and Order of the Eastern Star. Madelyn loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed genealogy, crafting and reading.
A funeral service will be at Noon on Saturday, January 15, 2022, with visitation from 10 am until the start of the service at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Burial will follow the service at Parkview Cemetery in Peoria.
