Lois Ann (Hanson) Crowley, 75, of Peoria, IL, passed away peacefully at her home on July 21, 2024. She was welcomed home by her Heavenly Father and reunited with her beloved husband, Bernard "Butch" Crowley.
Lois was born on January 4, 1949, in Black River Falls, WI, to Harry and Juanita (Steele) Hanson. She graduated from Taylor High School and worked at various jobs, including the Pizza Plant, Norplex, and Black River Falls Memorial as a nurse's aide. She moved to Peoria, IL, to be with Butch, whom she married. Lois continued to work in nursing and then as a collection agent until her retirement. She had many hobbies, but crocheting was her passion. She enjoyed making baby Afghans for the new souls that were coming into the world friends. She also loved spending time with her pets.
Lois is survived by her sisters, Mary Lou Syverson and Karen (Kermit) Wussow; her sister-in-law, Jaque (Jerry) Hanson; her lifelong friend and companion, Crystal Dahlstrom; and many nephews, nieces, great-nephews, great-nieces, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Butch; her parents, Harry and Juanita; and her brothers, Terrance "Butch", Richard, and Jerry Hanson.
Lois was a kind, generous, and loving person who touched many lives with her warmth and humor. She will be dearly missed by all who know her.
Funeral services will be held at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria, IL, on August 2, 2024, at 11:00 a.m, with a visitation to start an hour prior at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be planned in Taylor or Black River Falls, WI, at a later date for those who cannot attend. Burial will take place at Parkview Cemetery.
