He was born on August 19, 1950 in Peoria to Herman C. and Joann Johnson. He married Paulina Vinovich on January 22, 2011 in Peoria. She survives, along with one Son, Joshua Johnson of Peoria; five Daughters, Jessica (Doug) Linger of Springfield, IL, Sara Johnson of Bellevue, IL, Jennifer Choate, Rebekah Johnson and Andrea Passage all of Peoria; eleven Grandchildren, Austin, Audra, Amber, Elizabeth, Phoenix, Alexis, Victoria, Brody, Parker, Zoey, and John; four Great-Grandchildren, Carter, Robby, Willow and Violet; and two Sisters, Patty (James) McBride of Peoria, and Paula Dooley of Artesia, NM. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sally Jo Johnson.
Larry had been a painter for OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. He was an Army Veteran. He was of the Baptist Faith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 PM on Wednesday January 4, 2023 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria. Rev Ethan Carnes will officiate. A visitation will be held for one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Parkview Cemetery, with Military Honors.
