She was born October 3, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Harry and Hulda Silverman. She was the loving wife of Saul K. Bork for 25 years until his death in 1987. She later married and was the adored wife of Jack Pernatin and he survives of Boca Raton. She was devoted to her husbands and they to her.
Also surviving are her children, Cheryl (Mark) Palmer of Ottawa, IL and Brian (Jenna) Bork of Chicago; her sister, Doreen Bizar of Glenview, IL; her brother, William (Helen) Silverman of Highland Park, IL; her brother-in-law, Norman Bork of Rockford, IL; her grandchildren, Adam and Max Palmer, and Lennon, Skylar and Hollyn Bork; and many nieces and nephews. She loved them all and was loved in return.
Also preceding in death were her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rhea and Mike Bork; sister-in-law Paula and Patti Bork; and brother-in-law Larry Bizar.
She was a member of Congregation Agudas Achim in Peoria. In her younger years she worked as a secretary at ABC Studios in Chicago until her marriage and she became a very happy homemaker.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 pm Sunday, July 31, 2016 at Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria with Rabbi Robert S. Feinberg officiating. Interment will follow at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery. Visitation will precede the funeral from noon to 12:45 pm.
Memorials are suggested to Agudas Achim, the National Kidney Foundation or the Paula Bork Foundation Memorial Fund, Trustbridge Hospice.
