She was born November 6, 1930 in Roanoke IL to Elmer and Marie (Sutter) Blunier
She married Richard W. Haefli on February 11, 1951. He preceded her in death
She was also preceded in death by her parents, and one son Charles, and by 4 brothers and 8 sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Rhonda (Paul) Meister, Barb (Dale) Geyer, Dori (Mike) Paule, and one son Tom (Kris) Haefli; 12( grandchildren: Rachel (Mike)Soper, Dan (Shelly) Geyer, Adam Geyer, Kari (Brett) Gross, Molly (Gabe) Stickling, Tara (Jay)Brenner, Jacob (Andi) Meister, William (Linda) Paule, Robert (Alexis) Paule, Kelsi Haefli, Tom (Molly) Haefli, Rich (Lacy) Haefli, and 38 great grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.
She is also survived by one brother, Robert (Linda) Blunier and two sisters, Dorothy (Charles) Leman and Rachel (Richard) Leman and one sister-in-law, Sally (Harlow) Blunier.
She graduated from Roanoke Benson High School and moved to Peoria for employment. She met Richard when he would come to the Roanoke family farm to “visit her brothers”.
She was baptized at the Peoria Apostolic Christian church with her husband and many of their good friends in 1955. They continued to attend and serve there in many capacities until their deaths.
She loved staying home to raise her children and taught them well…She made sure they were in Sunday School and did their homework. Her home was always open to the neighbor kids, friends, and the youth group from church. She always had the most beautiful smile and gentle spirit.
Gladys most enjoyed spending time with her large family and taking many trips together. Camping throughout the west and travelling the US and worldwide with friends and family were a favorite pastime. She and Richard especially enjoyed their winter stays in Lauderdale by the Sea, FL and other seasons in the Rocky Mountains.
She was an avid Cub fan and was delighted to see them win the World Series in 2016.
Visitation will be Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 8 at 10 a.m. at Peoria Apostolic Christian Church on Sheridan Road, with visitation from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church.
Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Church Cemetery near Edwards, IL.

The family would like to thank the staff of Apostolic Christian Skylines for their loving care they showed her as she lived out the last seven years of her life there.
