Elsie Lou Farris Dalton

She was born June 25, 1940 in Sevierville, TN to Jesse and Lillian (Parton) Ogle. She married Clifford Farris in 1956 in Peoria. She later married Elmer “Chink” Dalton in 1986 in Peoria. He preceded her in death in 2006.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Mark Farris and one sister, Betty Jo Humphrey.

She is survived by her first husband, Clifford of Peoria; her children, Debra (Mac) McClain of Hopedale, Rick E. (Judy) Farris of Elmwood, Rhonda (Harold) Maharry of Peoria and Greg (Christina) Farris; 9 grandchildren, Mikelle Coker, Vince McClain, Tonya Farris, Buddy Farris, Amy Farris, Donnie Farris, Teresa Farris, Gregory Farris II and Braddick Blackburn; and 11 great grandchildren.

Elsie was a homemaker and also worked as a bartender at the Hanna City Tap.

She enjoyed camping at Timber Lake and Leisure Oaks, cooking and dining out. She loved flowers and hated weeds. She also loved family time with her children and grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Wednesday, June 17, 2015 at Davison-Fulton Woodland Chapel in Peoria with the Rev. Craig Hislope officiating. Burial will follow at Lutheran Cemetery in Peoria. Visitation will one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
