She was born Aug. 11, 1942 in Bloomington to John and Ruth (Wiegand) Rokey. They preceded her in death.
Survivors include one daughter, Kari (Roger) Emanuel of Peoria, two granddaughters: Daphne and Sloane Emanuel of Peoria, Kari’s father, Ray Olson of Peoria, one sister, Vermeda (Duane) Freidinger of Goodfield, two brothers: Kenneth (Phyllis) Rokey of Eureka, John (Linda) Rokey of Eureka, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eldora first worked at Caterpillar, Inc. then later Foster and Gallagher Catalogs, and also at snack bar at Kellogg Golf Course. Eldora enjoyed golfing in the Peoria Women’s 9 Hole Golf League which she joined in 1985.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Peoria, where she sang in the Choir.
Eldora’s greatest joy was spending time with her two wonderful granddaughters.
Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 13, 2023 from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church in Peoria. Additional visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Dells Apostolic Christian Cemetery in Congerville.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Peoria or the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home.
