Earl L. Lee

Earl L. Lee, 73, of Peoria, Illinois, died Thursday, December 18, 2014 at the OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 14, 1941 in Wyanet, Illinois. He was the son of Charles Hopkins and Charlotte Marie (Petty) Lee. He married Joann I. Crowley on August 13, 1960 in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on August 28, 2014 in Peoria, Illinois after 54 years of marriage. He is also preceded in death by one daughter, Jody Isabeles and one brother, Robert Lee. He is survived by his children, Robin (Dean) Utsinger of Bartonville, Illinois, Jim Lee and Lorie (Antonio) Isabeles both of Peoria, Illinois and a son-in-law Joaquin Isabeles of Peoria. He has 11 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren. Two sisters survive, Barb (Harry) Sherlock of Peoria, Illinois and Charlene (Dave) Hardy of Washington, Illinois. Earl took much pride in his job as an Engineer for District 150 for 26 years, receiving many service awards and merit recognitions, he retired on June 30, 2003. After retiring, he was the custodian at the Zion Lutheran Church where he still was working. Going out of his way to help others in the community was a trait that came natural to Earl; he was loved and will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Monday, December 22, 2014 at the Davison Fulton Woodland Chapel. The Rev. Steven P. Tibbetts will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior the service on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Parkview Cemetery in Peoria. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
